CURUG KANTEH

How many waterfall du you know in Banten Province, I only know waterfall Cihear and Curug cimayang. Cihear waterfall location is on Mountain leutik in the area of Halimun salak between Cigobang village and Ciladeun village, Lebak gedong district, Lebak regency and Cimayang location is on Bojongmanik district, it’s not so far from my home. When I was searching on Google about Lebak information I got an article. The article is about Curug Kanteh. On that article I got information that Curug kanteh location is on south Lebak. Suddenly cross on my mind, I’ve been on south Lebak for inviting my friend’s home on Bayah. If I know this information before I went maybe I will visit that place. I got information from an official Lebak website. It wrote that Curug Kanteh’s height is about 80 meters with 3 terraced pools underneath. Its location in Cikatomas village, Cilograng District, on Lebak regency, in Banten Province. From district capital it only 5 km, it’s not really far to be reached.

Why is called Curug Kanteh, kang Yusuf told that there is a story behind The Kante name. Once upon the time there was a prosperous village where every person has a lot of treasure. And, there was life a rich old man. He was not only rich man, but also has a high knowledge and every villager respected with him. It was a tradition if every harvest all villagers do an event to show gratitude to God. Unfortunately, that year was a bad harvest. It was only an old man who had a good harvest, and the old man did big thanksgiving. That grace was more than before. Ant at that event old man gave a word to villager that he would help villager made irrigation. After that event, old man and all villagers did irrigation. The irrigation made from the top of the hill to the bottom of the hill. It was big challenged because the hill was too steep and many ravines. It’s easy to fall and died if not careful. It made the villagers couldn’t pass but, fortunately there was an old man with his knowledge. He did something, it was like a magic that made all villagers could move and pass the ravines. But it was a problem for his old man; he could move the people, but couldn’t move herself so he fell accompanied the big water. And, suddenly it created waterfall. To commemorate the old man, villager gave the waterfall name with Kanteh,

That is sort story of Kanteh waterfall.
